Tetrabutylammonium bisulfate can be used as a surfactant, catalyst, emulsifier, disinfectant, fungicide, antistatic agent, and more. Tetrabutylammonium bisulfate buffer systems are often used as aqueous mobile phases in reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and often produce excellent separations for structurally challenging compounds.

Applications

1. Surfactant, catalyst, emulsifier, disinfectant, fungicide, antistatic agent, etc. Reverse-phase HPLC determination of oxalic acid in plant tissues and root exudates as an aqueous solution.

2. Used as an organic synthesis reagent and phase transfer catalyst.
